protego

A responsive platform for a chargeback company

00

problem

The client currently has a platform meant for a different service, so they were having trouble accessing data, wasting time switching between screens and lacked unity throughout the product. They would like to improve the user interface by improving the user flows and functionality of the platform.

solution

With thorough research, I designed a platform with key features in mind: • A filterable dashboard that gives users an overview of all the chargebacks • A details page for each Chargeback • A reports page that allows users to view stats

Protego is a chargeback detection company based in Colombia, working with clients across South America and the United States. Their existing platform was built for a different service entirely, leaving users struggling to access data within a product that lacked consistency. A heuristic evaluation of their current dashboard revealed clear problems: chargeback details were scattered across separate pages, colors failed accessibility contrast standards, and the filtering experience was confusing and hard to find.

From there, I moved into ideation. I proposed restructuring the platform into four distinct pages: chargebacks, reports, customers, and settings. This separation made the information far more digestible and easier to navigate. Rapid wireframes helped align the team and the client early, and feedback from those sessions shaped the wireframe direction, particularly around expanding the reports section with interactive filters.

The final product came to life through high-fidelity mockups built around Protego's existing brand colors and logo, with a style I kept simplistic, vibrant, and trustworthy. A detailed style guide kept every iteration consistent across colors, typography, and UI elements. I closed the project with thorough developer annotations covering component padding and flow logic, alongside the prototype and style guide, giving the development team everything they needed to build with confidence.
